The Information Society Megamix '2006 (Produced by DJ Marcelo Lyrio)

Início dos anos 80, influenciados por Kraftwerk, Gary Numan e Cabaret Voltaire, um grupo de jovens de Minneápolis nos EUA tem um objetivo em comum: fazer música eletrônica.

Murat Konar (vocal), Kurt Valaquen (vocal/sampler/programação), Paul Robb (teclados/bateria eletronica/programação), James Cassidy (baixo) e Amanda Kramer (teclados) lançam em 1983 o LP Creatures of the Influence. O álbum não alcança uma boa vendagem, mas uma faixa chama a atenção: "Running", ainda com os vocais de Murat .

Dois anos depois lançam o single da música com suas versões 12", já com Kurt como vocalista.

Em 1988 lançam o LP Information Society. "What's On Your Mind", "Running", "Walking Away” e a balada "Repetition" invadem as Rádios e pistas de dança sem pedir licença.

Em 90 voltam às pistas, paradas, Rádios e TVs com o lançamento do LP Hack contendo os hits: "Think", "How Long" e "Slipping Away".

No ano seguinte se apresenta para mais de 190 mil pessoas no Rock in Rio II.

Em 92 é lançado o álbum Peace and Love, Inc. Além da faixa título, “Cry Baby” (tema de novela) foram as mais executadas por aqui.

Só em 97 é que o álbum Don’t Be Afraid é lançado. Sem grande expressão.

O InSoc não acabou! Este ano mesmo lançaram o álbum Oscillator, estiveram por aqui fazendo se apresentando em São Paulo, além de participarem de dois shows intitulados de Freestyle Reunion I e II no Madison Square Garden.

No ano passado pude colocar em prática um antigo projeto: The Information Society Megamix.
